Here is a list of what Dance With Me offers!

Ballet...

is a disciplined style that teaches students proper turnout and technique. It is the basis for all
other types of dance and is important in the development of correct body
placement, balance, and position. Ballet is recommended for all serious dance students in
building a well-rounded dancer and is required for all competition group students. Ballet
classes focus specifically on ballet skills and proper placement as well as turns, flexibility and leaps.

Jazz...

builds on basic ballet technique and introduces sharper, stronger moves to a range of
music styles and tempos. Jazz classes will stress balance and flexibility, as well as expression of movement
and music interpretation. Jazz classes focus specifically
on jazz skills; turns, flexibility, leaps, and strengthening.

Hip Hop...

is a dance style first developed in the streets with movements ranging from sharp to fluid.
Students will experience this style and increase flexibility and strength. Choreography will be
fast, fun, high energy, and an all-around challenge.

Lyrical...

is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. Lyrical dance challenges choreographers and
dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion. A lyrical dancer's movements attempt
to show the meaning of the music..

Musical Theater...

is a competition class that combines dance with acting, and theatrical aspects of movement.
The emotional content of the piece as well as the story itself, is communicated through the words,
music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.
