Attendance

Attendance at scheduled classes and performances is very important.
The whole class benefits when all students are present to learn combinations, routines, and formations.
It is understood that students are involved in other activities,
but consistent attendance is necessary and appreciated by all.

Dance Floor

To help maintain our dance floor, we ask that students not wear their dance shoes outside
of the studio. Students may change shoes in the waiting room or dressing room prior to class.
Hip Hop students will be required to have tennis shoes that are specifically used for
dance classes, not to be worn outside of the studio. No gum is allowed in the dance studio.

Arrival and Dismissal

For the safety of our students, please ensure that your child arrives in the building safely by walking them to the front door and waiting with them until a DWM instructor invites them in for class. Students will not be allowed to leave the building unless they are accompanied by an adult or are providing their own transportation.  Please do not drop students off in the parking lot.  Our first concern is the safety of your children.

Waiting Room

Due to limited amount of space, we we ask that parents wait in their vehicles or drop students off for classes.
Students should be prepared for class and stay in the waiting room until class begins.
There is also no food or drink  allowed in the studios. Please help us keep beautiful studio clean and tidy!

Placement

Students are positioned in classes depending on ability level, age, and work ethic.
Instructors may shift placement during the first months of classes to ensure that students are in the proper class.
It is very important that students be placed in a class that matches their skill
level to avoid boredom or frustration. Summer classes are recommended for new students to develop technique and assure correct placement in the fall, as well as for returning or experienced
students to maintain skill level and enhance proper technique.

Cancellations

Credit cards are automatically charged the 1st of each month.  If for whatever reason you need to cancel a dancer from a class or classes, you need to let us know by the 25th of the month prior to needing to cancel to avoid being charged on the 1st of the month.  Class cancellations can only be done by DWM administration!
